They say time flies __________, well it flies when you're doing data entry too. I've added over 600 albums to the site since the last blog.
New pressings by Hendrix, Neil Young, Mellencamp, Doobie Brothers, Clapton, Grateful Dead and more have arrived and by all accounts they sound great. Mobile Fidelity hasn't slowed down either with new records by Patricia Barber, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Costello and others all in stock.
I have to warn all of you readers; there are two new Rolling Stones box sets coming out on vinyl. Numbered and full of 'original style packaging". I read somewhere that they are taken from the DIGITAL MASTERS from the last run of cds. If you don't know by now, concensus is that those masters are the worst sounding versions available.
What's worse are the prices!! My wholesale cost is over $300 each. DO NOT EXPECT to see these here.
As many of you know, Classic records joined Cisco in the out of business line. I have managed to get my hands on a select few titles in very limited quantities. Miles Davis, Alan Parsons, Frank Zappa, Herbie Hancock and Dexter Gordon are in stock. Seasonal vinyl is now on the shelf and some of these titles hold up well past Christmas!
I will be trying to keep the shop open 7 days a week during December up til the 24th.
Shop early for best selection, sorry to use that cliche but it is true.
All the best for Christmas,
Ric & Yvonne
