Feb 19/19 - Audiophile and Irish connection

In the last blog, I mentioned that we would be taking a vacation. Time to re-charge the batteries so to speak.  Early last December, I bought a sizable collection ( over 1000) lps. The bulk of the collection were artists and titles that were not common but great hard rock, blues and a few psyche. I’ve been cleaning and playing/pricing these lps for over a month and they are starting to hit the shelves. Kind of an Irish connection ( pun pun) and just in time for Saint Patricks day. Gary Moore, Rory Gallagher, Phil Lynott, Taste and of course, Thin Lizzy. Throw in some blues by Johnny Winter, Canned Heat and, and ,and, you get the idea. Unfortunately, there are some condition issues. The lps range from VG++ to VG. No skips but a few audible marks and still worth having in your collection.

As a bonus, I got 2 audiophile collections with lots of MFSL albums. Beatles, Stones, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, solid classic rock and the best pressings in the world (IMO). To add a little zest, a bunch of Japanese pressings, all pristine came in. As if it couldn’t get much better, an extensive Pink Floyd collection arrived today. I’ll be playing and stocking these ASAP.

The audiophile Mobile Fidelity and Japanese pressings aren’t cheap but are sonic heaven !

Oh ya, forgot to mention, one of the rarest Canadian psyche lps came in but more on that later ( if it lasts)

With all the above positives, some thing had to dull the mood. We have had some issues with on-line inventory going missing. Until we get a handle on how this is happening and correcting the issue, we ask your patience on orders.

Spring is around the corner and Record Store Day in April should be fun so stay tuned….

Thanks for your support, Ric & Yvonne
